Springboard

Assistance for unaccompanied minors with refugee status

Several thousand children and adolescents have been swept into Germany with the wave of refugees. They had to leave their homes in the war zones of the Near and Middle East regions – without their parents. They are not yet grown up – this means that they are currently registered as unaccompanied minors with refugee status. „Sprungbrett“ (“Springboard”) offers these youngsters the chance to settle down in Germany and become integrated into German society. This is based on two important pillars: Learning the language and education.

As an institute which aims to help young people, we support unaccompanied underage refugees once they have arrived in Germany and help them to become integrated into their new home environment.

At „Sprungbrett“ in Kleve and Bedburg-Hau we support children and adolescents aged between 15 and 18 who originate from a non-EU country.

„Sprungbrett“ – the name of our organisation – signifies that we help the young to take advantage of the opportunities open to them.
